Samantha Ronson may be ready to manufacture an honest woman out of Lindsay Lohan. Sam shelled out $22K on a Cartier diamond ring on Monday for LiLo while the two were out shopping.

“Sam took Lindsay shopping to celebrate her 22nd birthday. Although Lindsay is the major breadwinner, Sam has her own

money and is very proud. It’s not an engagement ring - simply a token of her commitment,” the source said.

I would argue that commitment and engagement mean the same thing in that circumstance. But you can draw your own conclusion.
