NY Ranger Sean Avery: Lacerated Spleen Injury

Sean Avery, a forward for the NY Rangers, is currently in the hospital after lacerating his spleen during Tuesday’s playoff game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Glen Sather, Rangers president and general manager, said the injury would sideline Avery for the remainder of the season but he should compose a complete recovery.
Sometime during the 14 minutes Avery played in Tuesday’s game he acquired the injury but
Tuesday’s game could have been Avery’s last as a Ranger as he heads into the off-season as a free agent.
