Ashley Alexandra Dupre is being credited by The New York Times for being the real identity of the prostitute involved in the sex scandal surrounding New York Governor Eliot Spitzer. These pictures are from her MySpace page. While The Times has been in contact with a source that confirmed the identity of the prostitute “Kristen,” who met with Spitzer during a liaison on Feb. 13 as per a federal affidavit, Dupre’s lawyer told People magazine, “We cannot and do not confirm that Ashley is Kristen.”

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, i.e. the Today show, two “friends” of

Dupre’s sat down with an interview with Meredith Vieira to chat about their buddy, Ashley, whom they described as “a strong independent woman” who “has the biggest heart.”

And, how interesting…her two buddies are aspiring hip-hop artists with names and aliases of their own. Robert “Mysterious” Cummings and Freddie “Logan” Sagastume showed up to Today in their screen-printed best to give a shout-out to their girl.
