Miley Cyrus and Family: Devastated After Tour Bus Crash

After learning of the tragic tour bus accident that killed the driver yesterday (November 20), Miley Cyrus and family have released a statement.

It says, “We are deeply saddened by the loss of Bill “Uncle Bill” Douglas. Members of our tour are like members of our family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family in the midst of that tragedy. He will truly be missed.”

The tour bus was carrying

the concert production crew, and overturned in Virginia on Friday morning- killing Bill and injuring nine others. Apparently, the bus drifted off the road which was wet from overnight rains.

Cyrus was not traveling with the group at the instance of the accident. Instead, the singer hopped a plane to Nashville so she could spend some down date at home before her next concert.
