Lady GaGa Talks About Dad’s Health

Despite her wild outfits, hair, and performances, Lady Gaga has a soft side.

While promoting her upcoming album, The Fame Monster, the singer let out her emotional side and opened up about her father.

The song on her album named “Speechless” is committed to her father, Joseph. She hopes he will assemble out it and it will convince him to go and receive medical treatment he needs for his heart condition.

“I’ve known about my father’s condition for about 15 years. He told me whatever happens, happens. I was getting ready to lose my dad and I wrote that song,” told Gaga.

She said she wanted to bring it up to remind her fans, particularly younger ones that are in the rebellious stage, that they need to treasure their parents. “I say that with such sincerity,” she said. “I wrote that song

called ‘Speechless’ that was that plea to my father. I sent it to him. I have a lot of fans who are really lovely, young, troubled fans, but I want to remind them that you only get one set of parents.”

She additionally performed a snippet of the song on a piano during “Saturday Night Live” that month.

Last week, while her dad was recovering from open heart surgery in the hospital, she Tweeted to let her fans know how things were going.

“My Daddy had open-heart surgery today. And after lengthy hours, and lots of tears, they healed his broken heart, and mine. Speechless,” she wrote. “At the hospital. Giving daddy a foot rub while he falls asleep. He’s my hero.”

Lady Gaga launches her Monster Ball Tour on November 27 in Montreal.
