John McCain: Picks Sarah Palin As Running Mate

It was announced Friday that Republican John McCain had chosen Sarah Palin as his running mate.

Wow, could he get anyone more completely opposite from himself? Palin, 44, is the Governor for Alaska and is only the second woman ever to seem on a major-party presidential ticket.

Palin has represented Alaska since 2006 and was picked by Gov. Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota, former Gov. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts, Homeland defense secratary Tom Ridge (also the former governor of Pennsylvania), and

Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut.

Palin arised alongside McCain at a rally in Ohio on Friday afternoon as they start the run for the White House together.

I’m a little creeped out by the picture. He’s like, “I’m a freakin’ genius! They said I could pick anyone and I said let’s get a hot chick in here. that is gonna be great!”

So will she be good or poor for his campaign?
