Miss USA pageant chief Donald Trump says Miss California USA, Carrie Prejean, will retain her crown despite semi-nude photos of her that recently emerged.

Prejean, 21, folded to divulge before last month’s Miss USA pageant that she had posed in her underwear as a teenager in the photos. In announcing his decision, Trump said the pageant had determined that while some of the pictures were “risque,” they were still acceptable under pageant rules.

Prejean additionally sparked controversy when she answered a pageant

judge’s question by saying that she believes marriage should only be within a man and a woman. Trump told reporters there was additionally nothing improper about that, saying Prejean responded to a hard, controversial question with “an honorable reply from her heart.”
